Children's Photography and Creative workshops

Are you looking for a engaging, creative and unique experience for your  art-loving child? These workshops are perfect for combining art, science and a bit of magic!

As part of my own photographic practice, the need to facilitate creativity is very important to me, especially for younger and less privileged children who might not have the right access to craft like this. These experiences open their eyes to a world of creativity that isn't widely used or known about.

I offer in-depth and designed alternative photography workshops for children which can be adapted to suit events, schools and clubs, birthday parties and anything in between. As of now, I offer the skills of cyanotypes, photograms and chemigrams to create abstract art that is rooted in photography.

These workshops are suited to children no younger than 7 as they do include the use of chemicals. I can offer to groups of a maximum of 15 on my own and up to 25 with assistance and support from other adults. They usually last between 1-2 hours depending on the size of group.

Meg has been great! She was calm and patient with the kids and was well prepared.

She communicated her ideas very well and went out of her way to provide another great experience for the kids by coming back !!The kids loved the workshops they did with her and were all very engaged.

We are looking forward to the exhibition.

We would very much like to welcome her back to do some further sessions with us in the future.

Megan’s workshop was really brilliant. The kids were really engaged in all the different methods of making the images.

Most of the children in these groups have ASD and/or ADHD - Megan made the sessions accessible and satisfying for them. She was really clear and concise in her explanation, this worked very well, it meant they could start immediately but with the information needed.

Megan left space for them to find their own way to do each process and encouraged them with her curiosity about the outcomes.

I saw children who ‘don’t like art’ and normally won’t take part, make some work they were really pleased with, it was great to see that.

These workshops are very good for building children’s confidence and understanding there is no ‘right and wrong’ in creativity.

Thank you, Megan.

Please come  again.
